Components of an Internet Course
in the College of Professional Studies
Communicating
Students
and the Instructor use a web-based bulletin board to discuss
course-related topics. Many Instructors post questions and issues for the
students to discuss.
Email
is also used in our Internet courses. A listserv is created for each
course and is used by the Instructor to make announcements to the entire
class. The Instructor's University e-mail is used when students turn in
assigned papers via e-mail attachment.
Stages and Pages
On-line courses offered during a given
semester are made available to the student on the first day classes begin.
All students taking an CPS Internet course for the first time must
complete an on-line technical orientation during the first week of class.
Once the orientation is completed, the student is given a password to
enter the "Cyber Classroom" and begin the coursework.
